ATC Challenge at Sarah Barber Design

The Beautiful Gems (Sarah Barber Design CT Team) have teamed together to run a bimonthly challenge on Sarah's CT blog using ATC's (artist trading cards). ATC's are adorable little darlings of digital design where you can just let go and create! Sarah has released a gorgeous ATC Mixed Gab v.1 kit at Digiridoo Scraps. It is 20% off until March 6 but if you go over to our CT blog you can find out how to download it for free and also earn a $2.00 coupon to Sarah's store.

Join our challenge which runs until March 15th. Check out the details HERE!

Just in case you don't know what an ATC is (which I didn't but am now IN LOVE with them) here's a definition copied from Sarah's blog.

Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards, or 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches (6cm X 9cm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc). The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold.

These little cuties have become my new digital obsession!

Flirtation and Fidelity is another wonderfully unique kit from Sarah Barber Design. This kit is full of such amazing vintage items and stunning papers. Here are two layouts I made using this beautiful kit.

Thanks to Matt and Emily for letting me use their photos and Matt's beautiful Paris photos!

Where Do I Start?

Renata, a fabulous designer Serene by RW, has asked me to join her creative team. I am so excited because she is an amazing designer and has such a versatile style. Here is a layout from her
Sisters Kit at
Inspiration Lane. Such a beautiful kit and the word art is just perfect for those special sister layouts!

Please drop by her blog or the store at Inspiration Lane and see what beautiful work she does!

Last weekend I had seen a post for a CT position open with Sarah Barber Design and decided I would give it a try and apply. Truthfully I wasn't familiar with Sarah's designs but when I looked at her work I was absolutely fascinated. She has such a unique style and I loved it so I decided to apply. Friday night I had an email from Sarah asking me to join her team. I was ecstatic not only for being able to work with Sarah but there are a few
girls on her team that I have known since back in the S&S days. Wow - what a fabulous opportunity.

Here a few layouts that I have been playing with this weekend using Sarah's designs.

You can get any of these kits in Sarah's store at Digiridoo Scraps. You will truly be amazed at her talent!

Sarah also has a great give-away on her blog with her Dream Within a Dream Kit. Just post a comment and you may be the lucky winner! Gorgeous kit.

Dream Within A Dream is also available at Digiridoo for 20% off until the end of February.

A fun and funky kit coming up by Mel Hains Design at Scrap That Idea coming soon - so keep posted.

Off to clean my house and get some work done so I can scrap later!

Exciting News

Denise from DigiDesigns by Denise and I have been on Charlie's creative team together for a while. It has been a blast working with Denise and about a week ago she asked me (well I twisted her arm a bit) to join her creative team. Woohoo!!! How exciting. I have loved working with this girl and now I get to play with all her designs! Denise has a new kit out called Movie Night. It is really a fun kit and the colors are so rich and gorgeous. Since the only movie I have been to in a while has been New Moon I couldn't resist. You can pick Denise's kit up at Digi Scrap Drive-In. Denise also has a freebie on her blog
so head on over and pick that up too!

Here are some other layouts I worked on over the weekend. This is a gorgeous kit from Design by Alevtina called Easter.
The elements in this kit are spectacular. Just stunning. You can get this kit at DigiDesign Resort.
Thanks Alevtina for the pleasure of working with this kit!

Have a nice evening - off to a sink of dishes!

Back with Baby Bump

Ohhh...I wasn't sure if this kit was coming out this weekend or not but I am so excited that it did. This is a wonderful collaboration kit by Erika at Inkin' Creations and Serene by RW called Baby Bump. I had so much fun with this kit - it
is just adorable and so perfect for those maternity photos. It could also be used for shower invitations, birth announcements
and even ultrasound pictures. I really think you could make an entire album with this kit - it is just perfect! It is on sale this weekend at Inspiration Lane for $3.49. Look how gorgeous!

Thanks for looking!

Big News

The new Scrap That Idea Store is finally open. It is a gorgeous website with four very talented designers.

Lots of great sales going on over there and an exciting blog challenge.

Mel has a new kit in the store called Giggles. Such a fresh and funky kit. I scraped my new little granddaughter's room. It turned out so cute and the mobile with the owls my daughter made for her new niece is just adorable.

Mel also has her February Freebie on her blog. Gorgeous browns and pinks - perfect for those valentine layouts. Head over and pick up the weekly freebies. It is called Happy in Love.

Denise over at Digi Scraps Drive-In has a wonderful set of templates called Blocked Out. I am so into these blocked templates. They work very nicely when you have a lot of pictures to scrap and have no idea how to use them all.

My CT buddy Loucee also has a stunning new kit out called China Blue. I love blue and white together - It just reminds me of spring. It is so fresh and pretty. Check out her kit over at DSO.

Whew...I think I have covered everything. Some really beautiful products and great sales! Thanks ladies for letting me play with your wonderful creations!

Beauty is all around

After an absolute horrible day at work I have decided sometimes you just have to look a little harder to find something positive and beautiful. And then sometimes it doesn't take much work at all as the beauty is right in front of you. Today was one of the harder days... but hey it's over! WooHoo!

My CT friend, Denise very kindly let me play with this lovely new kit she has out called A Love Story. Oh the papers in this kit are indeed exquisite - beautiful textures and colors.

Denise has also put together a quick page set that is also just gorgeous.

DSV has their February grab bag up and Charlie's additions are adorable. I love these little charms. They look so cute
intertwined on some ribbon or cord. Perfect for those "new addition" layouts.

A hot bath and bed is calling. Have a great week!
