Catch Up

I am way behind on my blogging and pretty much everything right now - it has been a hard few weeks, so I am trying to get back on top of things. Here are a couple of layouts I was able to do today.

The first one is from our annual family pumpkin carving party - we get together as a family, have dinner and carve pumpkins - which surprisingly enough the grown-ups love to do. Better carved pumpkin pictures are forthcoming, hopefully. My granddaughter didn't leave her uncle's side all night - they had a great time together!

This layout is made from the Halloween Mega kit over at Scraporchard - it is an awesome kit and is huge!!!!

Here is a layout I did of my new granddaughter - she is so precious and growing so quickly! Lots of kits used, some things from Vera Lim, Fei Fei's Stuff, and Vinnie Pearce - three of my all time favorite designers.

There are great things in store from Mel,Vicki and Charlie - a collaboration kit that will be out this week. I have had a sneak peak and let me tell you it is great!!!!!! Be sure to check these ladies' blogs for update - I promise you won't be disappointed!

Hope everyone has a good week!

That's all for tonight, hopefully I will have some time for scraping this weekend...we are making syrofoam spiders tomorrow for Halloween - it will be fun!

Kits and layouts, layouts and kits

What fun it has been creating with these kits. The first one is for Vicki from Mel Hains' creative team. It is called Carnival and although I have never met Vicki in person, I think this kit fits her bubbly and fun personality to a tee!

Be sure to check out Vicki's new kit. Papers, elements and alpha are now all up and they are stunners!

Here is Teresa's Japanese Garden Kit. I love the textures Mel used for the papers in this kit and the crane (or is it a heron) is just beautiful.

Both these kits will be available in the shoppe at Snap and Scrap on Friday.

Last but not least - Brianne Cox is the spotlight designer over at Snap and Scrap this week and her kit "Ferntree Fairies" is just amazing! This kit is full of beautiful papers and gorgeous elements. Here is the fairy at the bottom of my garden!

Have a good night - a bowl of ice cream and Gray's Anatomy is calling!

Some new kits and a couple of layouts

Well Mel has been at it again...She is a designing maniac! Seriously I can't keep up with the girl. She has designed this beautiful kit for Julie called Frolicsome Fall. I love the falls colors and the elements are so fun. Love the tree with the leaves. Here is my layout and a preview of this great kit. It will be available in the S&S Shoppe on Friday.

There are two other CTM kits waiting for me ... I better get my butt in gear!

Over at Snap and Scrap the spotlight designer this week was Amy Riley "Live Out Loud" Kit. I love Amy's designs and this one was so fun!

Vicki also has a new kit on her blog and it's a stunner. Go check it out on her blog. Vicki

Caryn's Backyard Playground

Oh those damn chickens have got the best of me - Caryn, I love that you have chickens as pets! I missed Mel's post for this kit but I couldn't go without doing a layout for Caryn. She is one amazing woman! And yes, those are rabbits and not chickens in
the cages but it is a farm..........

I think this is such an adorable kit - you can pick it up in the Snap and Scrap Shoppe. It is Caryn's very own CTM kit by Mel Hains called Caryn's Backyard Playground. Cluck, cluck, cluck!

Hannah Sings the Moody Blues

Wow, Mel rolls out another kit - this time for her Mom! Beautiful blues!

Here is the preview and my layout.

Vicki has a fabulous new kit over on her blog.... Breakfast at Tiffany's. Layout will be coming soon - I just can't get those chickens of Caryn's out of my mind, I think they are turning into evil chickens (he, he, he)

These are just the papers, but aren't they gorgeous!

Charlie also has her first kit in the S&S Shoppe on Friday - it is a stunner! Can't wait. Congrats to Caryn and Nicola for becoming part of Charlie's team - what fun you guys will have!

Nicola's Memories

This is Mel's third creation for her amazing creative team - Nicola's Memories. I love the vintage feel to this kit. The colors are so soft and pretty. This is a photo of my Mom taken in 1926. This was perhaps the tiniest photo I have ever seen and it didn't scan very well, but I still think it is so precious.

This is for you Mom! I love you!

I don't like to get too personal on my blog, but I have got to say, I have the most amazing and supportive family! I love all of you so much!

Off to think of something to do with chickens.....Oh Caryn, you are too funny! Speaking of Caryn, she has designed the prettiest blog bling for me - hopefully I will be posting it soon. Can't wait to show it off!

One more thing.........can't wait to see Charlie's designs in the S&S shoppe. I am so proud of you Charlie!

Minty Chocolate Cream

Doesn't the title just conjure up yummy creamy treats. This is such a lovely kit from Gillian Foley over at Snap and Scrap, who is in the designer spotlight this week. Here is my layout for the creative team using this beautiful kit.

Thanks Mel for your lovely comment on the blog - there is still so much I need to learn!

Charlie did not make it to the final cut at Stone Accents, but I have some exciting news...she is going to be on the design team
at Snap and Scrap. I am so excited for you Charlie - you are an amazing designer and it will be so fun to continue to work with you!

Last thing...Happy Birthday Vicki (on Sunday) - have a great holiday!

And yet another kit from Mel - Goodnight Sleep Tight. Love this kit - perfect for the new grandbaby! Also available on Friday.

Just when I thought I was getting close to being caught up on layouts, Mel designs yet another kit with chickens no less...
Oh my, this will be a fun challenge!
