Mel's a Designing Maniac!

Mel has two new kits in her store at Iscrapbook. The first is called Garden Love and it is so adorable. It reminds me so much of the first kit I saw of Mel's called Candy Floss. This kit is what drew me to Mel's designs as it was so darn cute! Here is my layout and a preview.

Mel's next kit is called Moments and she will be releasing it on December 24th at Iscrapbook. It is such a beautiful kit- love the colors and the elements are just gorgeous.

Got to run, have to work for 2 hours and then clean my house before we head out to the Nutcracker. I am so excited. It will be my granddaughter's first time seeing the ballet. Hope to get some great pictures!

Happy Holidays!

This is a couple of days late, but better late than never right? Vicki, Mel, Linda and Dawn have done a spectacular job with four wonderful Christmas kits! They will offering them every week for four weeks. Here is a preview and then go check out their blogs for downloads of "Walking in a Scrappy Wonderland.

Tomorrow is the official opening of "iscrapbook". Mel is one of the designers for this new site and it is going to be amazing. Here are three kits that Mel has designed for the grand opening along with my layouts.

The first one is called Chocolate Butterfly. Love the butterflies and the pinks are gorgeous!

This is called "Summer Melon" - these colors are so creamy and soft. Sorry I don't have a preview of this kit but here is my layout!

The last one has to be my favorite - I love this kit! It is called "Another Kind of Holiday" and I think it is just adorable.
I love the little Santa and the presents are so cute. The "big" Santa in the picture is also pretty cute!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments regarding my wordart. I didn't realize how fun it is to make something that others can use. If you do use the wordart, please send me a link to your layouts and I will be glad to post them on my blog! I would love to see how you use it.

I am thinking of doing a little winter wordart. Here is the first one.

You may download it here.

Mel's in the Spotlight

Mel is the spotlight designer this week at Snap and Scrap - what a great opportunity to go back and use some of her kits
again! For this layout I chose Julie's Frolicsome Fall Kit. Seems as though I am always drawn towards those fall colors.

Here is the wordart I made for this layout.

You can download it here.

The font I used is called Zapfino.

Go check out Charlie's new kit - It is called Fantasy Dreams. It is just gorgeous! I can't wait to give it a try.

Just one more

OK, so there is a theme going on here....must be the month for fairies.
Everything in this kit from the charity kit "Artemia" from After 5 Designs. They are raising money to help a fellow layout designer whose small boy and husband were in an accident.

Small flying fairy from Sweet Blossom Designs Enchanted Forest Kit.

Wordart by me.

Really that's all for tonight...

Back again...

Here are a couple of layouts I finished this weekend.

First is the S&S creative team sketch challenge for this week. The designer is Marcee Fairchild and the kit is Leaf Pile. Again the children in these two layouts are borrowed with the permission, of course, of their mother. Cute aren't they?

You can get Marcee's kit at the Snap and Scrap Shoppe

Here is little Tinkerbelle - This is her first birthday - what an adorable photo!

Papers, flowers, toadstools, frame, fairy with dust from the free collab kit Enchanted Forest by Vicki - A Work In Progress and Sara - Sweet Blossom Design. String and word art from the collab charity kit at After 5 Designs - Artemia. Butterly from Lovely Lilac Kit from Shabby Miss Jen. Twig and rounded fairy dust from Vera Lim - You've Got a Friend and A Little Magic Fairies. Feather from Imagine by Fran - Reflets d'amethyste kit.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Wordart

A little known fact is that I am obsessed with fonts, which is quite strange because I hate to journal on my layouts and hardly ever use any type of alphabets. Anyway, I thought I would try my hand at some wordart. Really quite fun and I am only beginning so be patient and if you want to use it, please do - just give me some credit!

It is a boy wordart, which I made for my own personal use to go with Charlie's new kit at Snap and Scrap called Frogs and Mudcakes.

You can find the kit in the shoppe

As soon as I can figure out how to download I will post the link (Thanks Charlie!)

Oh, by the way go over and wish Charlie Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

Snow Angel

In my never ending search for fabulous digital scrapbook kits, I ran across this absolutely stunning kit from Jofia Devoe and Milla
called Wintersong. OMG - it is just beautiful and I can't wait to use it again.

The picture is my sweet little granddaughter a couple of years ago - how I love this little girl!

Charlie has a new kit coming out which is adorable - I can only tell you it has something to do with small green slimy things. It is so cute. Check it out later this week at Snap and Scrap.

Have a good week!

Still Trying...

Still trying to play catch-up. Here are two layouts for Snap and Scrap. The first one is spotlighting one of my personal favorite
designers and CT buddy - Charlie Hudson. Honey Love is the name of the kit and that is just what it is - full of sweetness and love! It's a great kit for heritage layouts. I scanned this photo from some old photos my Mom had, it is actually of my Grandpa and his sister, Annie. I think it is so cute - love that hat she is wearing.

This next layout is made entirely from the Snap and Scrap Team Collaboration Kit for this month. It is called Tropical Breeze.
I love the bright summery colors and the elements are fabulous! Photos are from 1972 when I went to Hawaii with my college sorority - ahhhh to be young and carefree again!

I have two more layouts to get done - They are from Mel and are a bit of a secret - no peeks yet! Maybe I will even have the time to do a couple of layouts just for fun! It's been a better day - digital scraping helps!

Catch Up

I am way behind on my blogging and pretty much everything right now - it has been a hard few weeks, so I am trying to get back on top of things. Here are a couple of layouts I was able to do today.

The first one is from our annual family pumpkin carving party - we get together as a family, have dinner and carve pumpkins - which surprisingly enough the grown-ups love to do. Better carved pumpkin pictures are forthcoming, hopefully. My granddaughter didn't leave her uncle's side all night - they had a great time together!

This layout is made from the Halloween Mega kit over at Scraporchard - it is an awesome kit and is huge!!!!

Here is a layout I did of my new granddaughter - she is so precious and growing so quickly! Lots of kits used, some things from Vera Lim, Fei Fei's Stuff, and Vinnie Pearce - three of my all time favorite designers.

There are great things in store from Mel,Vicki and Charlie - a collaboration kit that will be out this week. I have had a sneak peak and let me tell you it is great!!!!!! Be sure to check these ladies' blogs for update - I promise you won't be disappointed!

Hope everyone has a good week!

Kits and layouts, layouts and kits

What fun it has been creating with these kits. The first one is for Vicki from Mel Hains' creative team. It is called Carnival and although I have never met Vicki in person, I think this kit fits her bubbly and fun personality to a tee!

Be sure to check out Vicki's new kit. Papers, elements and alpha are now all up and they are stunners!

Here is Teresa's Japanese Garden Kit. I love the textures Mel used for the papers in this kit and the crane (or is it a heron) is just beautiful.

Both these kits will be available in the shoppe at Snap and Scrap on Friday.

Last but not least - Brianne Cox is the spotlight designer over at Snap and Scrap this week and her kit "Ferntree Fairies" is just amazing! This kit is full of beautiful papers and gorgeous elements. Here is the fairy at the bottom of my garden!

Have a good night - a bowl of ice cream and Gray's Anatomy is calling!

Some new kits and a couple of layouts

Well Mel has been at it again...She is a designing maniac! Seriously I can't keep up with the girl. She has designed this beautiful kit for Julie called Frolicsome Fall. I love the falls colors and the elements are so fun. Love the tree with the leaves. Here is my layout and a preview of this great kit. It will be available in the S&S Shoppe on Friday.

There are two other CTM kits waiting for me ... I better get my butt in gear!

Over at Snap and Scrap the spotlight designer this week was Amy Riley "Live Out Loud" Kit. I love Amy's designs and this one was so fun!

Vicki also has a new kit on her blog and it's a stunner. Go check it out on her blog. Vicki
